ImprovBoston serves the community through laughter. With a regular performance selection of New England’s premiere improv, sketch, and standup and an acclaimed comedy training program, the theater dedicates itself to inspiring, developing and sharing comedy in all its forms. Through exploring the many important applications of the creative process, ImprovBoston seeks to improve the lives of diverse audiences both onstage and off.
Laugh Boston opened the doors to its 300-seat state-of-the-art comedy theater in September of 2013. The venue features premier stand-up comedy, including a weekly show called Boston Accents, as well as national acts. Laugh Boston is located in Boston’s Seaport District in the Westin Seaport Waterfront Hotel directly across from the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center. Laugh Boston features a full bar and a light fare, quick-serve menu. Laugh Boston has stand-up shows every Wednesday through Saturday night and is available for Group Events, Private Bookings and more!
The Comedy Studio
The Comedy Studio--one of the most influential comedy clubs in the country--has been hailed for its "uniquely intelligent audiences" and being "the next great wave of vital, original Boston comedy.” Showcasing seasoned veterans and alternative up-and-comers alike since 1996, the six-nights-a-week Comedy Studio is the place for comedy at its best!
The Wilbur Theatre
The historic Wilbur Theatre is now the ultimate destination for comedy and music in Boston. The theatre was originally opened in 1915 but has been recently revitalized by former Comedy Connection owner Bill Blumenreich starting in July 2008. Most every week features A-list talent in the world of comedy from Joel McHale and Jimmy Fallon to Bill Maher and Joan Rivers; as well as the world of music with Gavin Degraw and Kris Kristofferson to TV on the Radio and Broken Social Scene . The Wilbur Theatre is a must for anyone looking to kick back and have a good laugh or catch top national live music in the heart of Boston's historic theater district.
For more than 50 years, Club Passim has been known as a premier listening room, presenting both new and established performers in a huge variety of genres ranging from folk to Celtic to jazz. The historic music venue presents more than 400 shows per year to an audience of over 30,000.
