The Ladies of The Sketchersons

The Sketchersons have been a fixture of the Toronto comedy scene since they came together in early 2004. Based out of Comedy Bar, they run the weekly show Sunday Night Live (modelled on NBC's Saturday Night Live), featuring a different host and musical guest each week. They are winners of the 2007 Canadian Comedy Award for Best Sketch Troupe, an award they had been nominated for each of the 3 years prior. The group was again nominated for the award in 2008, 2009 and in 2010. The troupe and its members were recently featured in a web-series for BiteTV called Comedy Bar. The five ladies currently performing with The Sketchersons are Sarah Hillier, Jocelyn Geddie, Kaitlin Loftus, Ann Pornel and Alexandra Wylie. Among them is two comedy school diplomas, a degree in Biological Anthropology, a Master's degree, and a theatre degree. Individually, credits include The Second City, the Toronto Fringe Festival, Cheap Smokes (sketch troupe), Big in Japan (improv troupe) and a Canadian Comedy Award for Best Female Improvisor. They like to go on group trips to themed restaurants and over-eat.
