Amanda Brooke Perrin
In high school, Amanda Brooke Perrin was voted “Most likely to be attacked by a bear.” And that was the way her life was going until 2007, when she was talked into doing her first open mic at a Calgary pub. After that night, there was no stopping her. She's taken her absurdist sensibilities to clubs and venues across Canada for the past four years, opening for such headliners as Debra DiGiovanni and Levi MacDougall. Recently, she was featured on the cult comedy podcast “Stop Podcasting Yourself” and nominated for “Best Newcomer” at the 2010 Canadian Comedy Awards. In 2011 she worked as a "Comedy Insider" for The Comedy Network in Toronto, Ontario. Despite all the laughs, she is still haunted by dreams of her eventual death by a grizzly bear.
