Leah Bonnema is a Stand-Up Comic in New York City. Huffington Post named her one of their ‘Favorite 53 Female Comedians’ & College Candy listed Leah as one the ‘Ten Funniest Female Comics.’ She has been featured on WeTV, Logo, VH1, SiriusXM Radio (Patrice O’Neal’s ‘The Black Philip Show’ on Opie & Anthony’s Virus Channel, Maxim Radio & OutQ). She has had the honor of performing for the troops in Iraq, toured throughout the Middle East & performed for the US Marines at the famed Friar’s Club. Leah was a finalist in ‘New York's Funniest’ during the NY Comedy Festival & was featured on ‘The America Stands Up Showcase’ at The Magner's Glasgow Comedy Festival. She has performed in the Women in Comedy Festival, The 360 Comedy Festival, The Maine Comedy Festival, The NY Underground Comedy Festival, The Reel Recovery Film Festival & at The Piccolo Fringe. Leah’s second solo show ‘Wake Up and Yell at Me’ debuted at the People's Improv Theater; her first show ‘Always with the Heart, Never with the Brain’ was directed by Karen Sommers in coordination with the Artist in Residence Program. Leah hails from the mountains of rural Maine and received her degree in Honors Cultural Studies at McGill.
