Linda Stogner

Few can claim that the first seven months of their lives involved armed robbery and gangsters on the south side of Chicago, but Linda Stogner does just that in her charming autobiographical short film, Adopted: A Love Story, in which she tells the story of how she came to live in Texas with the "two old people" who became her beloved parents. Today, Stogner is an Emmy winning stand-up comic and filmmaker who has taken her beginning in stride, finding humor in its absurdity and seeing it as a jumping-off point for her unique comedy style. She was a finalist in the 2012 and 2011 Funniest Comic in Texas Competition and has appeared on the Emmy award winning, national PBS/ABC series, Life 360. She was also a finalist in the Last Vegas Comedy Festival, The Funniest Woman in America Contest and has appeared on the Joan Rivers Comedy Special. Headliners she has worked with include Brian Regan, Mitch Hedberg, Dave Chappell, Bill Maher, Kathleen Madigan, Bill Engvall and Elayne Boosler. Stogner was nominated for 2 Emmy awards this fall and throughout her career has won 10 Emmy awards, 10 Gracie Allen awards, & 6 medals from the International Film & TV Awards.
