Rye Silverman

Rye Silverman has performed on comedy stages all over the midwest as well as in New York and Los Angeles, with writing credits including work as as a freelance writer for JibJab.com as well as a staff writer for the New Media Comedy group in New York City, where Rye's writing was featured as part of the New York Underground Comedy Festival. In 2006 Rye was named the comedian to watch by Alive magazine in their hometown of Columbus, Ohio. Since coming out as transgender in 2009, Rye's voice has evolved and grown more and more introspective and personal, reveling in taking topics not typically considered fodder for comedy and finding ways to bring the humor in them to audiences.
