WICF Storytelling Showcase and Slam (Saturday, 3:30 pm)
Saturday, May 10, 2014
3:30 pm at Club Passim
Storytelling is great. Funny stories are the best! Comedic Storytelling has been hot on the Moth and other storytelling shows.
Comics tell sustained stories throughout their sets giving the audience a very different experience than a typical stand-up piece.
The first half will feature four Storytellers from the Women in Comedy Festival.
In the second half audience (all genders) will have a chance to tell a 5 minute hilarious story and win prizes.
- 1st place - 2 free tickets to a Saturday Night Show at WICF
- 2nd place - Gift cards to some of our favorite places
Hosted by Robin Maxfield
- Terry Heyman
- Susanne Schmidt
Robin Maxfield is a mother to teenage girls aka 'abusers'. Her most effective therapy to cope with this dysfunction is to bring it to the stage.
Terry Heyman is a compulsive oversharer who’s never heard of TMI. She performs regularly at West Chester Story Slam in Pennsylvania. Her motto: dig deep or don’t bother.
Studies show that twenty minutes with this therapist-turned-comedic story teller is both cheaper and more effective than twenty years of actual therapy.
